How to regenerate a page to get an accurate result

Sometimes one page isn't quite right — a character looks off, a speech bubble is wrong, or the framing misses the moment. You can redraw just that page, and tell ComicKnit exactly what to change.

Step 1: Go to the page you want to fix

Open the comic from My Comics and flip to the page. Under the reader, press Regenerate Page N (or Regenerate Cover).

Step 2: Describe the change in plain English

The regenerate panel opens. The easiest way to fix a page is the Refinement request box: describe what should change, and ComicKnit rewrites the full prompt to apply it before redrawing.

  • “Make the sky stormier and pull the camera back slightly.”
  • “In panel 2, Mira should be holding the lantern in her left hand.”
  • “Make the last panel a close-up of the cat's face.”

Step 3: Check the attached reference images

Below the prompt you'll see the reference images attached to this page — characters, locations and props. Make sure every character on the page has their reference ticked; tap an image to attach or detach it.

If a character looks wrong on the page, the missing or wrong reference is the most common reason.

Step 4: Edit the prompt directly (optional)

For precise changes, edit the prompt text itself — for example to correct a word in a speech bubble or change a panel's action. The prompt is exactly what will be sent, and a counter shows how much space is left.

Step 5: Press Regenerate

Press Regenerate (5 credits). The new page replaces the old one when it's ready. Not there yet? Open the panel again — it remembers your last prompt and images, so you can keep adjusting.

Questions & answers

Does regenerating a page change the rest of my comic?

No. Only the page you regenerate is redrawn. Every other page stays exactly as it was.

What if the page is blocked by a content filter?

ComicKnit automatically rewrites the prompt once to clear the filter while keeping the scene, then tries again. If it still fails, rephrase the part of the scene that might be flagged.

Can I fix a character before any pages are drawn?

Yes — and it's the best time. On the reference screen, regenerate the character's reference image (5 credits) before pressing Accept & Generate Panels. Every page then uses the corrected look.

A page failed during generation. What do I do?

Press Retry Failed Cover Or Pages. Pages that already finished are kept and are not charged again.
